The great thing about stencils are that they're reusable. Some people say it's the poor man's screenprinting. I like to think of it as the creative man's playground. Damn, that doesn't even make sense.
Alright enough with the nonsense. Here's a sample of painting on vinyl re-using Mr. Shiv from "Stab." I may do a few more like this with different background colors.

A painting for my wife. All of the darker, workout your issues, aggro imagery had me wanting to do something on a more positive note (not that Stab or OMG isn't positive). There's a bit of underspray and the composition isn't quite as tight as it could be. That'll teach me to not rush shit.
Oh, and that's not my wife in the piece.

A new character is on it's way and it's name is...
It actually doesn't have a name yet. I really don't even know which one to go with. The far right one was cut last night (for a 3 color stence). The more I look at these though, the middle one seems to speak to me. Softly in my ear and oh so sweetly. Maybe it's the curves...

I'm not quite sure if this one is finished yet. It feels a little cramped and it needs an opposing force... basically someone/thing to cut. I've got something in mind but execution-wise, I'm not sure how to pull it off yet.
Currently it's 12"x9". I'll most likely lay down another one at but larger. I need me some negative space on this thing.

This was one of my first stencils, done back in '04. I thought the emotional imagery was a good contrast to the ho-hum connotations of the word "blah." 1-color, probably about 10" big... nothing too fancy. I was satisfied. Although the underspray was pretty damn disappointing.
